The StyleSEAL Air Mask is designed to protect you against harmful particles in the air, including PM2.5, gasses, bacteria and viruses. We include an exhalation valve in our masks, as it greatly increases comfort when wearing it, especially if you are active.
The valve on the mask is one-way only, which means no particles can enter the mask through the valve from the outside. However, forceful coughing or sneezing can expel droplets from the wearer of the mask out through the valve.
People can get infected with a virus when a person coughs or sneezes as tiny droplets travel and permeate the air. These particles can land on surfaces and in a person’s mouth, nose or eyes.
For this reason, we include a free valveSEAL kit with every mask. If you already own a mask and want a valveSEAL kit (or if you just want more) we offer it for only 10 baht. 1 kit includes 2 valveSEAL covers, and 2 "OFF" labels for the outside of the valve.
How to use the ValveSEAL Kit
The ValveSEAL Kit contains (1) interior adhesive valve cover and (1) exterior “OFF” marking label. Your mask comes with (2) kits. The larger ValveSEAL label will seal the valve to prevent droplets from being expelled through the valve when you exhale, cough or sneeze. The smaller OFF label shows to onlookers that the valve is OFF.
1) First, peel the backing off the large ValveSEAL label and apply over the valve on the inside of your mask, 2) Then peel the backing from the OFF label and apply over the top of the valve on the inside of your mask.
Note: Using the kit is optional
The exhalation valve plays an important role in expelling moisture and reducing CO2. We only recommend using the ValveSEAL if you believe you are contagious or are legally required to do so.
